Brief Guide to the Anniversary Festival Scavenger Hunt

So the Anniversary festival should be popping again today and with it the scavenger hunt (persumably!). So I thought I would share some the links to the Department of Strategy's guide that was super useful when doing it last year! As I am currently writing this on my lunch break (finished my book and don't have my tablet with me to read on the kindle app) I assume that they haven't changed any of the previous quests and have merely added the new year ones however I will have to check when I get home and actually in-game. Beware this post and links will contain spoilers so if you prefer to do things yourself I suggest you turn back now!

If you happen to be looking for Arwen so you can talk to her for the year 4 travels quest and are having issues finding her, do yourself a favour and put a ticket in.

If you have done the Allegiance quest line it apparently causes Arwen to be a little bit confused about where she is meant to spawn. So even though you can see her quest ring at Imdolen and her NPC at Imlad Gelair you can interact with neither. However if you put a ticket in a kind GM will spawn her for you and you will save yourself the hassle of running all over Rivendell looking for her.

Edit: As of U22.2 this issue has now been  fixed so you should have no issues finding Arwen at Imdolen :D

If you are like me and only have the fellowship version of the instances available at the reflecting pool but need the solo version to get credit, don't stress as there is an easy work around! Basically whta you do is pick up the fellowship version of the instance and then cancel it, after waiting the normal 5 minutes click on the reflecting pool once again. You should now see both the solo and fellowship versions at the reflecting pool. Pick up the solo version and continue as normal.

Alternatively if you pick up both fellowship quests, the solo versions should automatically appear after that.

Note: If you have 2 fellowship instances from the same reflecting pool, you will need to do this for each one.

So I just wanted to share a few things you should know about the Eriador Scavenger hunt:

1) It is available to players of all levels however the objectives will only be around Eriador (and from the looks of it only in areas that are solo-able). It does not however give xp.

2) You can complete it even if you have already done the original version. And yes it will give a second set of some of the cosmetic pets, housing items and dyes.

3) Not every year has 3 quests per year. So no you are not missing anything if you only see one for a certain year.

4) The Eriador quests do not count towards the original deeds. Instead there is a new deed which requires you to complete all 22 quests which rewards you with 6x dyes and a white stag pet.
